Khanwah Flood Protection Bund of River Sindh near confluence point at Sarki was visited. Small breach caused by rodent hole has been thoroughly plugged.No loss to crops and dwellings across Bund has occurred. Irrigation department was strengthening Bund to protect it against temporary wave action.Camps of Irrigation,revenue and health departments have been established to meet out any emergency. One boat and a team of officials of Rescue 1122 has been detailed for the transportation of residents living in their houses inside Bund.They and their belongings are safe.They will be evacuated if water level rises upto 5 lac cusecs. At the moment,discharge at point is 425000 cusecs.
