Met office (vide letter no. NWFC-5(10A)/2017/107) has informed that temperatures are likely to remain and persist 04 to 07 °C above normal in Central/South Punjab. A shallow westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country on 08th (evening/night) and may persist till 11th April. Under the influence of this weather system: -> Rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in Murree and Galliyat from 8th (evening/night) to 11th April with occasional gaps. Dust/thunderstorm-rain is expected in Potohar region (Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali and Jhelum) and Northeast Punjab (Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and Sheikhupura) during the period. -> Isolated hailstorm may also occur during the forecast period.
