Met office (vide letter no. NWFC-5(10A)/2017/109) has informed that Heatwave conditions are likely to continue in South Punjab till 18th April. However, a westerly system is likely to enter upper parts on 16th (Evening), and likely to affect till 20th April. Under the influence of this weather system:
->Rain-wind/thunderstorm (with few heavy falls) are expected in Murree and Galliyat from 16th (evening/night) to 20th April with occasional gaps. Isolated hailstorm may also occur during the forecast period.
->Dust/thunderstorm-rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkar,Khushab, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh on 16th (evening) and from 18th (evening/night) to 20th April (morning). Isolated hailstorm may also occur during the forecast period.
-> Duststorm/gusty winds are also expected in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Multan, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Pakpattan Sharif, Vehari and Okara on 18th & 19th April.
