Visited Indus River at Mouza Lundi Pitafy which is almost 30 KMs downstream of Ghazi Ghat bridge.Irrigation department is raising three structures; one Flood Protection Bund,Two Spurs( one J-Head and one Guide Spur) which has stemmed ongoing erosion of the river.However, almost 8 KMs downstream of these structures,River is ferociously eroding agricultural and residential property of adjoining mouzas. The whole area of Mouza Lundi Pitafi including of residential areas/ dwellings is under immediate threat of erosion. Secretary Irrigation has been requested to send expert committee immediately at site to suggest some immediate anti erosion measures.
