On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, DG PDMA Punjab Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa visited flood-affected areas of Sheikhupura and inspected relief and medical camps in Ferozewala and Muridke. Flooding in Nala Bheed and Nala Deek affected 83 villages, 43,188 acres of land, and damaged 1,215 houses, while 738 people and 46 livestock were evacuated to safe locations. A total of 13 relief camps and 7 medical camps have been established. Relief efforts include the distribution of 11,300 cooked food boxes, 4,085 ration bags, and livestock fodder, along with the provision of medical services, sanitation, and clean drinking water. The DG directed all concerned departments to accelerate relief, drainage, and protective bund repair work and maintain full preparedness with rescue machinery, boats, personnel, and evacuation plans. He emphasized that the protection of life and property remains the top priority.
